The Stone Group's aim is to be the premier provider of IT hardware to the public sector in the UK.
The Stone Group is a highly customer focussed organisation, which seeks to provide its customers with products fit for their intended use and to the customer’s own specifications. The primary objective of the quality system is to assist the company in the pursuit of these aims. Feedback from customers is encouraged to ensure satisfaction.
Computer systems manufactured by the Stone Group will be in conformance with all recognised standards. Specifications related to consistency of quality and safety are strictly adhered to. The quality management system aims to meet or exceed the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008.
The group is committed to a process of continual improvement and this is supported by the board of directors, who demonstrate their commitment by setting the performance standards for the quality system. This is done by using a mechanism of key performance indicators. The board receive regular feedback on the company’s performance, and review and monitor this feedback at regular meetings. The targets that are set and the quality objectives themselves are also subject to review for continued suitability at management review.
Data for the key performance indicators is gathered by the senior management team, who are themselves responsible for the processes in their respective areas of influence. The senior managers are responsible for presenting this information on a regular basis to the board of directors.
This mechanism forms the basis for the continual improvement of the quality system. Feedback from the board of directors is passed directly to the senior management team and the quality representative for implementation into the quality system.
For and on behalf of the board of directors,
James Bird
