Stone launches Unistand at BETT 2012

17 January 2012

Stone launches the UniStand, a space-saving IT hardware chassis, specifically designed for the modern classroom at the BETT 2012 Show, Olympia, London

Stone's workstation space saver, UniStand, has been developed specifically to maximise number of workstations that classrooms can accommodate by reducing the space required for individual terminals

UniStand is able to re-house the highly popular Ultra Small Form Factor and ITX Space Saver - Stone's power-efficient, high-performance and small dimension PC units - into 'All in One' units that minimise the space required for the workstation yet further, without compromising on functionality, accessibility or ease of use.

Released for the first time at BETT 2012, the UniStand has been developed with space saving and ease of use at the forefront of the design. It incorporates front access to two USB ports, a line in for a microphone, a line out for headphones and an optional additional power button on the front of the stand itself, providing improved ease of access.

The UniStand also includes a dedicated keyboard and mouse storage area to minimise the clutter of workstations and making classrooms smarter, tidier and able to physically accommodate more terminals. Additional features of the UniStand include cable management and routing to reduce cable exposure; a security bolt that enables it to be fastened to a desk for additional office or classroom security; the ability to house 17" - 22" monitors and is fully adjustable to comply with all current health and safety regulations.

James Bird, CEO at Stone, comments, "As an experienced supplier to the education sector over the last 20 years, we fully understand the demands of the modern classroom. The UniStand has been developed from the ground up specifically for the UK education sector and its functionality is evident in the design. Once again, we are able to offer innovative designs to the UK education market as we continue to demonstrate our experience and relationship with our customer base by rapidly developing products which meet their specific and current demands."
